A member asked:

What are the classes of antiarrhythmic medications?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I, II, III and IV: Class i is divided into ia, ib, and ic. These are sodium channel blockers. An example from this class would be propafenone. Class ii agents are beta-blockers (like metoprolol). Class iii are potassium channel blockers - for example, amiodarone. Class IV are calcium channel blockers, like diltiazem.
