Is it true that flying with an ear infection is safe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Airplanes & ears: Flying with a middle ear infection is safe, but may be uncomfortable with changes in pressure. When the middle ear space fills with fluid the pressure increases, and there is a small risk of ear drum rupture. This is not dangerous and usually heals up on its own.
