Wondering if it's okay to use oral gel on a wound from oral surgery?

Probably not: Unlikely that an oral get would make a difference. Use the pain medication that was precribed for you. I'd be concerned about overdose using large amount of gel in an open wound.

Ask first: I would suggest asking the office where you had the oral surgery done prior to using any gel or topicals.

After 24 hour: Chlorhexidine oral gel applied to the wound site can also aid healing by eliminating bacteria at the site. Avoid vigorous mouth rinsing, applying oral gel or touching the wound area following surgery.
