Quadraplegia: An injury at C1-2 resulting in quadraplegia is a devastating injury, an injury that Christopher Reeves sustained. It basically means all loss of communication from the brain to structures below the base of skull. This mean a breathing tube, a feeding tube and confined to a wheelchair for transport.
