Cerebral perfusion: Nothing is 'supposed' to cause poor cerebral perfusion. When cardiac function becomes poor enough to decrease cardiac output and or blood pressure enough to perfuse the brain adequately, then the patient is in serious trouble. This usually happens only with severe cardiac dysfunction and often has associated cerebral vascular disease.
