Soap or a lubricant: Need to apply soup around a ring to help slide it off a finger. If too swollen and cannot be removed, the ring may need to be cut before it causes any vascular problem. Better go the emergency room if this doesn't resolve especially if the swelling gets worse.

Dental floss: slip floss under the ring than wrap tightly around the finger past the pip joint . Keep floss tight and begin un wrapping the floss from behind the ring moving distally this will gradually move the ring forward and off the finger.

Remove a ring: Windex. Ice to finger but not to the ring. String yarn or floss. See this to understand http://handcare.assh.org/Hand-Safety/Removing-a-Ring.aspx
