A member asked:

Can there be high levels of mercury in tuna?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: High levels of mercury as well as other toxins can be present in tuna and other fish species. We have to depend upon the government inspections to insure that our seafood we purchase and eat is contaminant free, or certainly at an acceptable level per established standards.
