What are the difference between kwashiokor & marasmus?

Starvation diseases: They are both diseases that arise from an inadequate diet and starvation. Kids with marasmus have dry loose baggy skin. Kwashiokor children have malabsorption, diarrhea, edema and bloated abdomens. The findings in kwashiorkor are due to profound profound protein malnutrition while marasmus is from a total lack of nutrition in general
