Cause what?: Please be a bit more specific. Perhaps you're having an allergic reaction to a chemical in the softener? Go see your Family Doc for evaluation & treatment. In the meantime, best to avoid anything cleaned w/said softener. Perhaps, re-rinse w/o softener.
