Astrocytoma glioma: Treatment of an astrocytoma is based on the type and degree of malignancy - if benign then the team follows the growth rate and surgery is indicate based on the rate of growth and reoccurrence. If malignant then adjuvant therapy such as radiation therapy or chemo will likely be added to the treatment protocol.
