Herpes: There are two types or viruses that cause herpes. The cold sore type herpes is found in 75% of americans. This is known as herpes type one. Once one has herpes it cannot be caught again. It does not migrate to other parts of the body. It cannot become a different virus. Herpes type two, which is most commonly found on the genitals is found in 25% of americans.
