A member asked:

Where do people with thyphus get care?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hospital: Typhus is still very much with us, especially scrub typhus, which is a scourge of much of asia. Chemicals to keep the arthropod vectors away may help some, and we may hope for a vaccine. Typhus isn't catching person-to-person unless the blood-sucking creature carries it, but it is too severe to manage at home.
