Anovulation: Pregnancy is always possible when there are missed periods, but it sounds more like you might not be ovulating regularly which could be related to pcos, thyroid issues or problems with the pituitary gland. Either way, i would advise you follow up with your gynecologist for additional evaluation.

Abnormal bleeding: In general, abnormal bleeding can be caused by many things including miscarriage. Months between menses may also be concerning. Evaluation by a qualified md for potential abnormalities would be an appropriate course of action.
