Can be helped: Scars are caused by tension in the skin. They can be helped, made smaller, less painful, etc. By simply using a bandaid (perforated preferred to allow evaporation of moisture) across the scar under tension. Stick the bandaid down on one side of the scar, then pull across the scar with tension and stick down on the other side of the scar, pulling the skin together at the scar to relax the skin.

Scar: There are topical treatments and one is the silicone as mentioned. Some topicals are available but are for minor scarring. We don't know the extent of the scar . See a podiatrist with wound care background.
