Infection: These symptoms are the beginnings of an infection and usually mean a fever is on its way. Most commonly it's a viral illness with sore throat, dry cough and/or diarrhea following.. Keep your resistance high with rest and fluids. Tylenol (acetaminophen) type medications often help moderate these symptoms.
