HIV: Wonder if that's a true story or just a hypothetical case! so, the answer is - "yes" --- if the dog got blood from the infected person and immediately scratched you with the transfer of that blood into your wound. If the dog transferred it to you hours later, then the chance of getting it is very slim since the HIV virus is very unstable in the outer environment.
