No: This is not an unusual amount. If you are changing tampons every hour, that is not normal. Check with your provider if you are concerned!

Not uncommon : Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) causes irregular menstrual bleeding. You can have heavy bleeding or no bleeding. If the bleeding increases or last for an extended period of time then return to your doctor for management.
