How long cannabis stays around is variable, as it is stored in fat and breaks down and is released if you miss a meal. This isn't the place to debate the wisdom of screening for cannabis, but since it stays around longer, friday-night partiers are more likely to choose a more dangerous drug for fear of being busted.
