Coincidence: I would not think there is any medical or causal link between the flu shot and the boil. She should feel completely safe about getting one again next year.

Boil and Flu.: There is no connection between the flu vaccine and a boil on the knee. Boils occur randomly and unexpectedly. Often there is no inciting factor.
