Help docs! i'm trying to find out what causes adult drooling at night while sleeping?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mouth position: So long as the mouth is open, there is the potential for drooling. If the mouth is closed, not so much. Rarely, there can be an overproduction of saliva that results in overflow of saliva through the corner of the mouth. If that's the case, your pcp can recommend some medications to help. If it's just positional, get a supportive pillow that will help the person sleep with a closed mouth.
