A member asked:

Please explain what are some symptoms for oculomycosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Redness, pain: Oculomycosis is fungus infection of the front of the eye. It causes corneal erosions and redness, irritation and pain which do not respond to ordinary antibiotics which is the common first thing to be given when the eyes are reddened. Rarely fungus can infect the inside but usually in the immunosuppressed. If you suspect this problem see a corneal ophthalmologist immediately.
