Likely arthritis: Crepitus suggests some wearing of the cartilage of the knee or kneecap, most likely from changes of osteoarthritis. I am glad you do not hurt, but this is a good time to address your exercise habits - are you doing too much or not enough? Quadriceps strengthening can help but should be done right to avoid extra stress. Glucosamine is a good supplement to take. Good time to touch base with your doc.

See a specialist: These sounds may be quite benign. An orthopedic surgeon or rheumatologist can correctly diagnose the meaning. Glucosamine is an expensive placebo, a complete waste of money.
