Cheek numbness: The first order of business is an exam by a physician. On and off numbness can be an early sign of many things, some which are serious, some not. Multiple sclerosis often presents with "odd" sensory findings, or there may be pressure somewhere on the trigeminal nerve which ends up in your face. There are also tooth and jaw related things, less serious, but still requiring a complete exam.
