A temporary MD.: Sometimes a practice because a sick or vacationing physician has a need for a replacement doc with the same speciality. Some doctors like the varied locations of work, fill a need, and may even be offered a job full time. The hassle of running a practice is not there, which is why some docs to this "full-time.".
