More info: Sweating can be a side effect of Effexor xr/venlafaxine. If you just started the medication, it may lessen with additional time. If the dose was quickly titrated up or started at a higher amount, a lower dose may help lessen the side effect. If none of this applies i.e. You've been on it a while ; on low dose, then the question is benefits vs. Problems as the sweating may be an ongoing side effect.
