A member asked:

What is a tb skin test and what are the procedures (injection)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Skin test: It is a liquid (purified protein derivative) that is injected under the skin on the forearm (the ventral side or underside of the forearm) as a bleb that goes away. It tests to see if you were exposed to tb. When it is positive there is an indurated (raised and red) reaction bigger than a dime. It has to be read 2 days after it is done.
