Appearance with dye: This means the tumor "lights up" after the IV dye is given in the MRI scan. Most pilocytic astrocytomas due this. The tumor will look grey on an MRI scan before the contrast dye is given and then will look white (or bright) in images taken after the dye is given.

Astrocytoma: No, enhancement does mean cancerous or malignant. These types of tumor do enhance with given contrast but are a benign tumor as far as classification
