Could be a while: Vaginal bleeding after childbirth or an abortion is different for every woman. It is usually much heavier than a period, and the heavy bleeding could go on for a week or two, and you might spot up to a couple weeks longer. Depends also on your genetic clotting factors. Some people are more "leaky" than others. Call doc if still heavier than period bleeding in 2 weeks.
