Now that cannabis is legal to purchase in colorado..do you see patients potentially treating themselves for any type of medical problems?

Marijuana: Patients have always tried to treat themselves for medical problems, with varying levels of success. The medical indications for marijuana are very specific. People may smoke for recreational reasons and call it "medical." they will still be exposed to marijuana-related health issues (such as worsening asthma, potential psychosis, worsening memory and learning in some, etc).

Sure, but ...: they should not. For certain conditions and medical situations, TCH and canibanoids have been scientifically proven to be effective forms of treatment. More and more science is being published every week proving this. It can be a good form of treatment, but what we don't support is self medicating. Like any medicine, there are benefits and side effects. Use intelligently and in proper proportion
