A member asked:

For what reason might the veins in a foot be protruding obvious and enlarged?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Venous reflux: Superficial venous insufficiency or reflux means blood is not flowing 'up' properly so it can sit in your feet, ankle and legs causing them to swell or the veins to appear large. A phlebologist or vein specialist can help you sort this out with an ultrasound. Phlebology.Org for a list of docs.
