A member asked:

For what reason would congenitohereditary retinal dystrophy impairing vision disqualify some1 from getting into westpoint?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lowered vision: Irrespective of the source, if you do not have excellent corrected vision, west point will not consider you for admission. The military, once you are accepted, feels responsible for any health issues that arise and therefore does not want anyone with pre-existing conditions. And you say your problem impairs vision, therefore try another college program.
