A member asked:

Can you tell me what it mean by the statement, "anitarrhythmic drugs do not cure the underlying causes of an arrhythmia""?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antiarrhythmic: These drugs cause changes in the biochemical state of the heart and its membranes which can help stabilize electrophysical phenomena. They do not 'cure' the structure and other abnormalities which predispose the heart to arrhythmia.
