Not likely infection: Since your symptoms have been for a month now, it is not likely due to an infection, at least not at this time. There is such a thing as a post-viral (inflammatory) cough. Cough-variant asthma, or as simple as postnasal drip from allergies can cause persistent cough. I suggest getting evaluated by your doc as soon as it is feasible for you. Otc delsym (dextromethorphan) may help the cough for now. Good luck.
