A member asked:

I just recently stopped taking depo-provera shots and i'm trying to conceive. i only got two shots but my body hasn't gone back to normal. what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not much: A woman can do after a Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) injection but to wait until periods come back to normal. After a Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) injection the contraceptive effects last for 3 months, but it can take 3-6 months after the last injection to get back to normal fertile cycles in some women. Some women will take cyclic Progesterone or bcp to have regular periods, but that doesn't bring back fertile cycles faster.
