Misinformed?: Fertility centers around ovulation not your periods. Ovulation is the release of the readied egg from the ovary. It is the centerpiece of your cycle. Ovulation usually occurs just shy of half way through the cycle. Sperm, which can survive up to five days inside the female, can impregnate the egg when deposited on any of the five days prior to ovulation.
