What if a woman can't find the cause of her pelvic pain?

Pain management: Medicine is sometimes just not sophisticated enough to figure out what causes some pelvic pain. If you have gotten to the end of the road, you should try a pain management doctor. While they won't cure the problem, they can help the pain. First, make sure you have been evaluated for gyn causes, along with urologic, gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal causes. Those are the most common causes.

Keep looking: There are definitely many causes of pelvic pain and when trying to identify the cause it should be looked at by many doctors: gynecologists, urologists, gastroenterologists, muscle pain or nerve pain. Usually a cause can be found, just takes the right person to figure it out.
