Colds are Viruses: I do not know any physicians who commonly recommend any medications for the cold, regardless whether one is pregnant or not. Most over the counter medications are for symptom relief but they do not work well and are not often recommended by physicians except to pacify patients. Rest, hydration and more rest is the best medicine.
