Perhaps Misinformed: I cannot imagine a scenario where ovulation occurs six days before a period in any menstrual cycle. Ovulation is the event of the release of a readied egg from the ovary. Sperm deposited in the vagina can cause pregnancy as long as they have time to get to the readied egg. This is usually during the five days prior to ovulation. If one is pregnant tests can pick this up usually fourteen days.

Most of the time : Ovulation occurs 14 days prior to the anticipated period (not 6 days prior to period).
