If severe infection.: Any severe infection during pregnancy can cause fetal loss. Salmonella is certainly able to do that if high fever, profuse diarrhea and dehydration ensue. Care with your obstetrician, a maternal-fetal medicine and and infectious disease specialist should help you avoid this adverse outcome.
