Can you infect yourself and your own bloodstream with things such as e.coli?

Sepsis/bacteremia: E. Coli bacteremia or sepsis usually comes from an initial source of infection in a person such as uti, GI infection, or even wound, it goes to the blood and causes sepsis and if found in blood culture is called bacteremia.
