Esophag. obstruction: If stuff is not emptying out of the bottom of the esophagus, into the stomach, doctors can call it esophageal obstruction... Until they figure out why stuff is not easily getting through to the stomach. Once a diagnosis of the cause of the blockage is made, then doctors can call the condition by the cause (such as esophageal stricture, achalasia, esophageal cancer, etc...).
