Try therapy first: With ligamentous laxity, i would recommend a program of physical therapy before consideriing surgery. Go see an orthopedist for an evalutation. If there are anatomic injuries secondary to previous dislocations, then therapy may not be effective. This includes a barkart tear or a hill-sachs lesion.
