Pediatric Ortho Eval: Arthrogryposis is defined as a congenital joint contractures in two or more areas of the body. A team approach is often needed to maximize functionality of the affected contracted joints. Surgery is considered when non-operative treatment fails such as an early talectomy (removal of the talus) for ankles affected by arthgrogryposis.
