Yes, for Stage 4: Nexavar, or sorafenib, is used to treat advanced, unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. It is also used to treat patients with advanced kidney cancer. This drug is a multikinase inhibitor and works by decreasing tumor growth and replication, by inhibiting the formation of blood vessels that tumors rely on to get nourishment. This is not a curative treatment, prolonging survival on average 7 mo.
