Atopic dermatitis: Once you get atopic dermatitis, it tends to come back at the same place many times a year. You cannot avoid it but with good skin care and treatment, the recurrent frequency can be reduced. Many factors contribute to this problem like skin barrier, allergies, infection... Keeping your skin moist, avoiding strong soap would help significantly. Both allergist ; dermatologist are well versed in this.
