May aspects: Cancers in general and stomach cancers in particular spread to other organs, e.g., liver and impair their function. Person may bleed from stomach cancer. Disseminated cancers cause cachexia and predispose the person to infections. Inability to eat and digest food causes malnutrition and inanition. Cancer may spread to lungs, brain bones etc and contribute to multi-organ failure.
