Some concern: Most children will have an ear infection at some time before 6 years of age. Ear infections usually cause low grade temp, discomfort and temporary decreased hearing. Most episodes of otitis media will resolve, but if temperature would increase or persist, or drainage develops from ear needs examination. Even when symptoms resolve should be checked by pcp to examine ear and make sure fluid has.
