Can you tell me the survival rate of an avm (arteriovenous malformation)?

Depends on location: Avm's occur in all parts of the body. It depends on which organ is effected. Removing those on the skin is no threat to life. Similarly, an avm in an extremity is rarely a threat. An avm in the intestine can require removing a section of intestine which an be a beggar operation but seldom is a threat to life.

Brain AVM bleeding: For brain avms, the overall risks of bleeding are 3-4% yearly. Each bleed episode carries a 25% risk of mortality. Overall risk of dying is therefore 1% yearly.
