A member asked:

Is it possible that some drugs cause the heart to stop or an ischaemic heart attack?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Some of our BP medicines can really slow down the heart, toxic levels of minerals like potassium can stop the heart and others, and some illicit drugs like meth can cause spasm of the arteries to a point of occluding the blood flow and can cause heart attacks.
