Public Health: I am not sure a doctor can speak to all restaurants and other businesses serving food. I think you question may be better addressed by the public health officials in charge of the businesses you are most concerned about.
But, eating a large amount of food at one setting; eating a large amount of carbohydrate calories at one setting or any over eating is not a healthy practice.
